Accounts Receivable Manager - Remote

Accounts Receivable Manager

The Manager, Accounts Receivable is responsible for accounting for our loan receivable balance in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Designs efficient and sustainable business processes as Aqua modernizes its systems and launches new business initiatives. Works with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure activity impacting loans receivable is accurately accounted for.

Essential Functions

  • Hires, manages and develops an Accounts Receivable team of five to ten
  • Oversees the posting of financial activity to customer accounts (i.e. payments, returns and adjustments) and ensures they are made timely and accurately.
  • Represents Accounting in cross-company growth initiatives and system modernization projects.
  • Evaluates financial risk and designs controls for mitigation.
  • Partners with Information Technology on identifying and implementing process automation and efficiencies.
  • Works with Compliance and Legal to ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
  • Coordinates team’s response to financial audits, State audit exams and internal reviews

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 4 years of relevant accounting or audit experience
  • 2 years leadership experience
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and measuring financial controls.
  • Excellent reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (verbal and written) skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
