Funding Specialist

Department: Funding
Location: Wausau, WI

Funding Specialist

In compliance with company policies and procedures: receive and review loan documents to determine if they are accurate and complete and purchase the loans into the appropriate company for funding release. This also includes taking incoming and making outgoing calls from our dealers.

Essential Functions

  • Receive original, faxed & E-sign loan documents from dealers for multiple products daily with amount financed less than $40,000
  • Review loan documents for errors/omissions- specific criteria based on state/product/dealer
  • Determine if app file is ready for funding; based on paperwork audit and additional requirements set by the Credit department
  • Establish proper Lending Source for specific loan based on advised criteria
  • Follow proper procedure for each Lending Source once contract is acknowledged
  • Communicate with Lending Source and/or QA Specialist to correct any issues in document package to get approval for funding
  • Upload documents into existing Workflow files
  • Route documents to the appropriate queues
  • Funding all deals that have met funding requirements and purchase documents by entering customer specific information resulting in an established customer account & Accounts Payable amount for our dealers by the daily funding deadline
  • Taking incoming and making outgoing calls, providing customer service
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
