Human Resources Specialist

Human Resources Specialist

Essential Functions

  • Performs HR administrative tasks supporting the processing payroll, benefit administration, retirement plan administration, maintaining employee files, etc.
  • Responds efficiently and professionally to questions and concerns from employees through multiple channels (in-person, email, phone)
  • Assists with audits, compliance reviews, and other regulatory reporting
  • Partners with the HR Generalist to manages the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees (on-site and remote)
  • Administers HR programs, including, Gym Cost Share, Milestone Recognition, Employee Giving, Education Reimbursement, etc.
  • Assists with the planning and execution of community experiences to support a positive employee experience and culture
  • Processes verification and employment requests
  • Front office responsibilities, including visitor experience, phone call management, office supply management, etc.
  • Maintains and protects confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgement, and care and ensure awareness of and compliance with Federal and State employment regulations and company policies in all areas of employment
  • Support leadership with ad hoc projects

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, or related field, or commensurate work experience required
  • SHRM or PHR certification preferred
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulation associated with organizational responsibility required
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of Human Capital Management Systems required
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, fast-paced work environment
  • Possesses the skills to consistently perform work with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to perform work with exceptional accuracy
  • Results-driven with ability to consistently multi-task
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
