Senior Specialty Collections Manager

Senior Specialty Collections Manager

The Senior Specialty Collections Manager is responsible for overseeing the skip tracing process on outstanding delinquent loans by developing and implementing strategies for effective skip tracing. They manage a team of Skip and Loss Prevention Specialists, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The Senior Specialty Collections Manager will help maintain accurate account records and provide reporting and analysis on the skip strategy and activities.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement skip strategies for locating delinquent debtors
  • Monitor and analyze performance to help adjust skip strategies
  • Provide reporting and analysis of findings and success rates
  • Review recreation accounts to ensure the account has been skipped and is ready for the repossession process
  • Review first payment defaults and report to leadership on findings
  • Review accounts to spot collection trends, dealer issues and orchestrate a plan for resolution
  • Help complete month end duties
  • Investigate, resolve, and respond to escalated issues

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, or a related field, or commensurate work experience required
  • 7 years in collections or customer service discipline with progressively elevated roles required
  • 3 years of people management experience required
  • Financial industry experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) candidate beneficial
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
