Accounting Specialist

Department: AR & AP
Location: Wausau, WI

Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of loan funding to dealers, loan funding audits, and bank cash transfers.

Essential Functions

  • Audit loan funding for compliance with contract policies and procedures
  • Weekly/Monthly audit results reporting
  • Process dealer settlement/funding
  • Account adjustments, including setting up dealer buybacks from funding or ach pull & rebooks
  • Weekly/Monthly Reporting/Processing functions
    • Intercompany transfers- daily/weekly/monthly
    • CXS weekly settlements
    • LPC monthly settlements
  • Perform timely processing of company travel expenses and payment to employees and the Corporate credit cards in accordance with the Travel and Expense policy
  • Settlement transactions with our different business partners
  • Record incoming Wires in as needed for Pool sales or draws
  • Record outgoing automated wires
  • Assist with entering ACH information on new accounts

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, or commensurate work experience required
  • 2 years of related work experience required
  • Financial industry experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
