Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for posting customer payments from multiple cash sources for multiple companies in a timely, accurate manner in compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Post customer payments, verify accuracy, update reports, provide end of day communications
• Post returned deposit items
• Process transfers for intercompany payments
• Process recovery\bankruptcy\repossession payments and adjustments
• Record and process CCU Marine payments
• Handle customer extensions requests from Account Servicing

Required Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field, or commensurate work experience required
• 2 years of related work experience required
• Financial industry experience preferred
• Experience with cash handling, deposits, online payments preferred
• Attention to detail and accuracy required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
• Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.

This position is an office-based position where you must be able to sit for long periods of time. The employee will be working on a computer 90% of the time.
